Yeah so...I'm a month late...it happens. I know that you've all been eagerly waiting to hear about my birthday weekend, though. :) So, here goes...
The Friday before my birthday was an off day for Matt. So, that morning (after sleeping late) I headed over to get a pedicure. I have some gift certificates, so it didn't even cost me any money! After my pedicure, I walked down the little shopping center (tennis shoes in hand) and had lunch at the Mexican restaurant. For lunch, I had sweet tea! Yay! After swapping shoes at home (what intelligent person wears tennis shoes to get a pedicure?), I headed shopping. I spend many hours picking out and trying on clothes. I had been wanting to go for a while, but finding several hours that I can get away can be tricky. For supper, we went to Mema and Papa's house (my mom's parents) and were surprised when Jenn showed up. It was great to get to see her and Kaitlin!
On Saturday, we met my parents for lunch at Longhorn. Yummy! I ate plenty of bread and got a nice juicy smothered in butter steak. Again, I say...Yummy! Afterwards, Caroline went home with Grandma and Granddad. Matt, Nathan, and I went to to movie theater and saw Horton Hears a Who. Afterwards, we went over to McDonald's for some snacks. I had a big sweet tea (about the only thing good at McDonald's) and a three pack of chocolate chip cookies (the other thing that's good there). That evening, I did some more shopping.
On Sunday, we ate at Sonny's for lunch. Then, we headed to my parents. The kids (and Matt) took naps while the ice cream was made. Then, we had cake and ice cream. Another yummy! After church, Nathan and I made a trip out for a final birthday meal...IHOP. We also stopped by Walmart for a couple things including a canned Dr. Pepper. Ahhh...so good. I didn't actually end up drinking it until Monday, though.
So...that was my fun weekend. It was great to get to celebrate my birthday for a whole weekend! It's not often that I get to do whatever I want and eat whatever I want for days at a time...come to think of it, I don't remember the last time that happened. :) Thanks Matt!

That sounds like a marvelous birthday weekend to me! Shopping twice in one weekend! Did you get new clothes??? That's always fun, especially when you need to buy a few because you've been losing weight! :-) Are you guys getting a treadmill or something?
