an interesting site
I found this website today and found it very interesting. It gives a pretty full rundown of a child's development at different ages. Now, I'm not saying whether it's right or not, but I'm generally a PBS fan, so I would basically trust it. At any rate, take a look and see what you think.

interesting site. It's so hard to have a good comparison & know if Kate is average, above, below? And, of course, as a parent, I probably have a tendency to think above avg, so it was really good to read this. It gave me a much broader understanding of what is meant by development. It really breaks it down into so many categories. I tend to pay attention to the language & physical categories as my "markers." I was amazed by the stats about the words they know & words they use at 1 yr. old.
I really like the site, thanks a bunch for sharing!
I agree with you, Elizabeth, on the words. I think Caroline understand a ton, but I don't think she's up to the 40 words that is "normal" for her age. Of course, after Nathan, anything she says seems ahead to me.
This was interesting.
