a couple aprons

June is a month with several family birthdays. As you may have noticed, I am kinda on a crafty kick. So, I made a couple aprons for a couple sister-in-laws. The first two pictures belong to one apron. I forgot to take pictures of the second, but I found the recipient to be a great model! The reverse of hers is also the same green fabric as is found on the first one.

This pattern came from Sew Liberated (formerly Montessori by Hand) and the pattern can be found here.

now these are SUPER DUPER cute! I might have to sign these up for my next projects. Too bad I can't make one for Jake (his birthday is next!).

also. did you find your fabric in a store? or online?

Some of both. The green came from Hobby Lobby. The pink came from a little fabric store in Augusta. The other I ordered online.

SO CUTE. I've been wanting to make myself an apron or two. I really need to wear one when I cook as I tend to be messy and more than once I've ended up with a stain or tiny grease spot that didn't come out...
I need to get some fabric and give it a try.
Does the sash (as I see on Erin) allow for enough to go around the back and then tie in the front? That is what it looks like, but I can't tell for sure.

Yes, it can go all the way around and tie in the front. I don't think there is enough for a bow, though.

This project was a little more time consuming than other things I have made, but the instructions are very good (if you actually follow along step by step).
