funny -- when I clicked on the post I thought I was going to read something about Christmas trees or a "discussion" w/ Matt about Christmas trees. :-) How did his first hunting trip go?
It was quite uneventful. I didn't see a thing other than a snake about 3 feet long as I was walking past a swamp to the stand. It was probably too windy to be out, as the deer like to stay in shelter in such conditions.
It was a different experience just sitting trying to be almost totally still yet watch over a wide area. Some of the sounds make you wonder "now what is that?"
