We went and looked at it again today. It definitely needs a lot of work to be up to our standard of living, but it has potential. What a hard decision this is! In all reality, it may not be available at the moment anyway for our price. We'll see.

Do you have any specific plans for the work you want to do or just a general idea that work should be done?
We have lots of specific ideas about the inside...new kitchen...new bathroom...new carpet...but we don't have as specific ideas about the outside. We would replace the columns in the front with something semi-cute and maybe paint the shutters. We would definitely do some landscaping. At some point it would also need new shingles.
Sounds like a lot of work. Redoing the front entrance would definitely give it some more curb appeal. I love the huge shade tree in the front. Perhaps a might frustrating for any good landscaping or lawn growing, but still really pretty.
