Tulips from far far away

Erin brought me some tulips when she came back from Europe (specifically, they came from The Netherlands). Nathan and I have been faithfully watering them (after they were planted a bit late). They are just now starting to bloom. Here is a picture of one of the two pots.

oh yay! i'm so glad that they're blooming! it appears that dutch tulips bloom later than american tulips--mom's have been slow as well.

they're so beautiful, i just love the shape of their leaves coming up! i like the pot, too. yay!

I'm with you Erin. I have really enjoyed watching the leaves come up. I think I like them more than the flowers themselves. Oh yeah...and it's neat to watch the flowers open and close each day.

Very pretty; and a great story whenever someone comments on them.

I wanted to plant some tulips but didn't make it to the nursery before they had sold out of bulbs so I had to settle for some pansies.
