master bedroom indecision

I really just cannot decide about the master bedroom, so I need some help. Here is a picture of the quilt that is currently on our bed (ok, so it's part of the quilt...the bed wasn't made and there was laundry sitting on the rest of it). I hope to one day get new furniture and bedding, but this is what we have to work with right now. Anyway, I had thought about going with a mid-tone blue, but the more I think about it, the less excited I am about blue. So...what would you recommend?

Well, it looks like that quilt offers a variety of paint choices! How about a sage-ish green....yellow? Although I do love red, I think it might be a really bad color for a bedroom. We are thinking of painting our bedroom a medium blue. At the last house it was a lighter green/blue color that Ben really liked.

I like the yellow color in the quilt. We just painted our bedroom "Pale Sky". I was worried about it being too much blue, but it is really calming, reminds me of sitting outside (we are actually going to paint the ceiling the same color!). My bathroom is a spa-greenish color which is also refreshing. I think you have a few good selections. But I wouldn't be afraid of the blue!

I think it depends on what you want in a bedroom. Do you want calm and relaxing? A light blue or green would be very soothing. Do you want something a little more romantic? Nothing's more romantic than red. Still can't decide? Move in and paint when the color comes to you.

I want calm and relaxing. :) I have enough trouble sleeping without adding paint color to the mix. Lisa, painting later is the one thing that keeps me from being overly concerned. We need to give it a coat of paint before moving in, but I know I can always change it.
