Today is the day that I start getting "not fat". For a person who has often resisted doing things just because other people do do it, it's a little hard to say that I'm starting on New Year's Day. However, the two and a half months from now to my birthday seems like a good timeframe to work on losing weight. I don't have any major reasons to eat lots of fattening food for this time. So...now that we're back in town, I'm starting.
I've done pretty good today, but tonight has been a little harder. I like to eat at night while I'm hanging out watching tv. I'm going to have to figure out how to NOT eat at night. I just don't succeed very well if I completely deny myself. So...we'll see what I can come up with.

Stupid blogger ate my comment. Anyway, my suggestions are to switch out good-for-you foods for taste-good foods, and to serve the food then put the container away so it's easier to quit eating.
